Does Ned Read MSTI?
September 2, 2007 at 11:53 am | In Andy LaRoche, lineups, roster moves | 6 CommentsI know I said we wouldn’t get into the business of daily lineup posts and game reviews, and I intend to stick to that. But this, folks.. this
is a lineup.
1. Furcal SS
2. Pierre CF
3. Kemp RF
4. Kent 2B
5. Ethier LF
6. Turtle C
7. Loney 1B
8. LaRoche 3B
9. Billingsley P
That’s right - less than 18 hours after yesterday’s post where I demanded answers on why LaRoche hadn’t been called up with the other guys, he’s not only up but in the starting lineup. And what a lineup! No Gonzalez! No Hillenbrand! This is pretty much all of the jewels of the system we’ve been drooling over - with the added luck of it being a Billingsley start as well. If this is the lineup we want to see going forward (I know, I know, but Pierre’s not going anywhere) we need to hope that this lineup dominates soon. Like, today, soon - or we might not see it again.
Oh, and avoiding a sweep by the Padres? Yeah, that’d be nice too.
