I really don't understand these ATTITUDE PROBLEMS attributed to Kemp. Did they all stem from that time when Kent got mad because Kemp moved a trash can?

I don't know if you watched last night, but Kemp swung awkardly at a Maddux pitch inside and flied out, but pushed it to right field. I think he's learning how to take it the opposite way.

The mIdjit was one of many pundits trying to trade Kemp for us last off-season. So, he is more than anxious to jump on any current "the kids aren't all right" talk from the Dodgers FO to try to beat that drum again. Most of these pundits view the world from a perch in the NE, where they are always trying to find desireable trade targets for the BoSox, Yanks and Mess to pick up.

Also, Torgy, you bring up an interesting point. Maybe we've got Colletti pegged all wrong. Maybe he's just putting these things out there to gauge interest and/or motivate the kids further?

Nah.

D+A fan: In our case, I'm assuming it's because the pitching has been pretty successful, except that the one guy who's not (Penny) is a veteran. How are you going to write something bagging Billingsley when he's pitching circles around Penny?

How come when writers like Rosenthal talk about veterans on a team, they conveniently leave out pitching? We have some veterans (Penny, Lowe, Saito, and others) out there who I'm sure aren't mum about talking to "the kids".

God love Ken Rosenthal, because he is the epitome of a Patsy. Colletti is using him to get a barometer on the potential lynch mod mentality if he does deal Bison. Right now, I would forego the pitchforks and scythes, and go right for the weapons of mass destruction if Colletti even seriously considered dealing Matt Kemp for anyone short of Pujols or Berkman.

Couldn't agree more with your assessment, Colletti made his own bed and is now trying to spin it that it wasn't his fault, in the first place, that he signed every broken down POS on the FA market over the past two years. He was forced to by those evil kids. Yeah, that's the ticket.
