Ken, come on. A nice little hot streak aside, you can't possibly think that Varitek has a lot left in the tank.

YEAH,.. i've come to wonder my self WHAT THE HELL IS TORRE THINKING at times. SERIOUSLY,... i dont want to starting thinking that those mid-90's yankee teams where so damn talented that they could of won those world series championships with just about any one...

JOE'S DECISION MAKING... at times is like watching a CAR CRASH IN SLOW MOTION. Please JOE, make me believe again that you were the one responsible for all those championships in the mid-90's with the yankees. Because lately, YOU'VE NOT BEEN IMPRESSING ANY ONE W/ YOUR DECISION MAKING, BUD!!

Oh yes, before I forget, Torre is dumber than a box of rocks! Who the Hell keeps a 20yo on the hill in a game that could be mailed in? We have an eight run lead, the Beav....er ah, Padres are truly shitty (you don't know the joy that brings me to type that) and Torre doesn't sit some guys who need to rest or not add pitches to their arm.

Last night would've been perfect for James McDonald to make his debut. It would've been even better for Martin to sit for three or four innings and remind Danny Ardoin where home plate is at. Instead, Torre makes the game interesting, wears down Martin some more and takes valuable innings from Kershaw's priceless left arm. How long do we have to put up with this kind of stupidity?

I hope to Hell Torre calls it quits this off-season. I don't know what Donny Ballgame is like as a manager, but everytime I see Torre do something like this this, I picture Griddle with a clueless look on his face as the Dodgers drop like a stone, last July, August, etc.....

The only way we move Martin is if Carlos Santa....oops, Ned dealt him because the McCourts can't trust their handpicked GM with money.

It is one thing to move a catcher to another position, like second base, if you have a potentially as good an offensive catcher as Martin, but quite another to replace him with a 37yo who (despite his recent hot streak) is on the downslide.

Shapiro took Colletti to school and we dealt our best prospect for a rental (albeit a very valuable rental). The only way this deal works is for us to resign Blake to a two year deal and hope that neither Meloan or Santana ever become all stars. Right now, I don't like our odds.

I gotta wonder just how much input Logan White had on this deal? I get the funny feeling they sent him out for pizza when this deal was made.

You know that there are fans who actually want this to happen too? I'm confused as to why people are so anxious to get a elite catcher out from behind the plate. :o

"Let’s put this out here plain and clear: Jason Varitek is cooked. Toast. Done. Finished. I don’t know how else to say it."

You sure about that? Varitek has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games and has a.326 average with 4 home runs, 2 doubles, 4 singles and 7 runs and 6 RBI!

Toast? Done? Finished? bull!
