Blake DeWitt Should Choose US Airways
July 16, 2009 at 7:03 pm | Posted in Blake DeWitt, Cory Wade | 6 CommentsBecause according to Priceline, that’s the cheapest fare for a roundtrip ticket between Albuquerque and Los Angeles.
With Cory Wade going back on the 15-day DL, DeWitt has now been recalled to the big club for the fifth time this season – and it’s only the first game after the All-Star break. Anyone know what the record is for most times one guy has been sent up and down in one season? I wouldn’t even know where to begin looking for that.

I hope DeWitt signed up for frequent miles. I saw a t-shirt at the stadium tonight that says “Do it Dewitt”.

I think he’s past up Stultz by now.

The CBA states that players shipped between the minor league team and major league team are to be flown first class and non-stop if possible. That means United in all likelihood. Hope Blake has a Mileage Plus account, because he might just make 1K this year.

During today’s game, Vinny made the comment about DeWitt that went something like this…”It’s not really fair to evaluate DeWitt in terms of his batting average, but it is fair to evaluate him in terms of his miles”…
