I was off this weekend at a wedding, in which I was best man. As with most weddings, the groom got his groomsmen gifts, and one of mine (in addition to a most excellent official 1988 World Series Program and hat) happened to be a gag gift.

  1. Hey, the Rockies are 6-1 against the Cards in 2009 and the Dodgers are 4-3 against the Phillies. The only Phillies batters hitting well this season against the Dodgers is Stairs, Ibanez, Werth and Ruiz.
    Why not cheer for the Rockies to take the NLDS series against the Cards and we sweeping the Phillies with Wolfx2 and Kershaw?
    Especially since the Dodgers almost can’t lose to the Rockies.

  2. Well once the Rockies are officially in the NLDS, you damn right I’ll be rooting for them to beat whoever they play. But for now, I’d prefer to root for the Braves, that way Dodgers are guaranteed not to play the Cards in first round.
