I read that Rollins knew that Broxton would try to finish him off with a heater based on past history and was prepared for it. 99 MPH or no, if you know it's coming, you can turn it around.

After watching that last pitch to Rollins about 15 times, it still seems to me that Brox hit his spot. Perhaps it was a bit more inside than where Martin set up, but it seemed like a good pitch to me. Of course, I don't know who called that pitch, and I don't know if the ball lost some movement because Brox overthrew it. Perhaps you've some light to shed here?

I should probably clarify MY call for Broxton's head. I don't want him gone, and he's probably the only reliever I want on the mound in a close situation out of our bullpen right now, regardless of the handedness of the hitter. However, I was upset because in my opinion, he couldn't have blown a bigger game that we needed to have to win this series. I know he didn't suddenly decide that he was going to blow it to increase the drama or to get himself noticed, but the fact is that the result was negative and now our backs are up against the wall in a game that I don't care what anyone says, we should have had.
