I actually didn’t come up with those defensive stats, FanGraphs did. It’s not the first time I’d heard them, either, though I do think they’re a little rough on him.

But I completely disagree with the idea that he hits lefties better when played regularly. He played almost every day this year and it was his worst year against them.

I think he has proven to hit better when he gets lots of reps and isnt played irregularly. I think he needs to work on his approach to lefites and he could get back to respectability. His defense isnt as bad as ur saying. His arm is decent but it is pretty damn accurate from the field. He won a couple games with his glove this year.

If I would have read that Ethier “A” grade summary I might mistake him for a “C”. Geesh he is not gonna be platooned for christ sake.
