Congrats on the quote, good stuff.

Trade Bills? Can you say "Pedro Martinez for Delino DeShields"?

Look at Bills stats and look at Halladay's lifetime stats. Same with Cliff Lee.

There's a very good chance that in 2 years, Bills IS Halladay or Lee. To trade that away now for one year of an aging Halladay would be a huge mistake IMO.

Seriously speaking to those so called dodger fans out there who just can't seem to stop criticizing Bills for his few bad starts need to be shown tape of Bills' last two starts against Washington and San Diego. The only reason we lost those two games was because of an offense that didn't show up to the ballpark to back up their pitcher.

Let me throw this question out there, what if Bills was involved in a package for Roy Halladay? Would you guys make that deal?

Congratulations on the quote! That's awesome.

I saw that BP article earlier today and pretty much thought what everyone already thinks. Theoretically, what's the best we could get in a trade? Young, cheap, cost-controlled pitching. So to give it up would be a little strange especially in a free agent market featuring John Lackey as the top pitcher.

But I also think it's a GM's job to listen in on offers. You never know what might come up and it never hurts to entertain a possibility.

And finally, I like to remember a few rules for hot stove survival: A rumor is just a rumor, and it's never certain how credible any of them are to begin with.

Arb-eligible for the first time this offseason, but I completely agree. It's insane.

Bills? This sounds like a nightmare.

I mean, come on, is he even arbitration eligible yet? What would be the point in moving him?

Getting rid of Billingsley would be a huge mistake!! Lets hope that Neddy realizes that, because in all reality he is a very good pitcher that got a bad rap after last years playoffs. And a bad second half, which wouldn't have been terrible if somebody could have figured out that he didn't have to try to get thought the 6th. Otherwise his record is two (i believe) pretty good years and a very good first half, which by the way, he was the top CY young candidate with Johan. Basically, giving up on him now would not only be very dumb, but it WILL come back to bit the dodgers in the butt!
