Atkins signs with the Orioles I predicted it, woot!

Now that next years infield appears settled, is there a chance a cheaper veteran outfielder is signed to replace Pierre?

I figure Paul or Repko would be the guy, but there is at least a chance a guy is brought on to compete in spring training and at AAA.

Endy Chavez and Gabe Gross probably cost too much. Bring on Paul if he is healthy.

Really, the "best player"? I could see "favorite player", I suppose. But best? Even with what Kemp & Ethier did? Wow.

I truly do wish Pierre the best. I've had an irrational dislike of Pierre for too long, not because of anything he's done but because I have friends who literally think he's the best player on the Dodgers. I try to show them the numbers, but they just say Pierre is "clutch" and a "game-changer". ARGH! Maybe I just need new friends.

Thanks for the scouting reports. I need to go scrambling through my old B.A. Prospect Handbooks to see if either of them are mentioned. Awesome blog, btw.
