Imagine the situation: the bullpen doors swing open, the first chords of “Welcome to the Jungle” blare, Gagne jogs out… and everyone looks at him like he’s a douche because the Dodgers are down 7-2 with 4 innings left.

That line is hilarious, Mike. There’s a part of me that wants to see the Gagne of old return and have a career renaissance at least for this year, but a lot of me wants memories of Gagne to remain about the good years, not seeing the corpse of him running to a 5+ ERA and his subsequent release.

As a middle reliever, Goggles wouldn’t only need a new song, he’d need a new nickname – “Game Over” obviously won’t work anymore. Does Guns & Roses have a song that goes with “Walks To The Dugout After Giving Up 4 Runs In 1/3 Of An Inning?”

I admit, I do miss the floating Gagne heads.
